Ben Williams
Outdoor Adventure Director
Originally from Ohio, Ben attended Mount Vernon Nazarene University where he majored in secondary education and history. He joined the Falling Creek summer staff in 1998, and in August of 2006, Ben joined the full-time staff as assistant program director.
Today, Ben serves as the Outdoor Adventure Director for Falling Creek, coordinating all of the outdoor adventure activities. Ben is a certified Wilderness First Responder and a Swift Water Rescuer. He served on the board of the American Camp Association’s Southeast Section and Legislative Committee for the North Carolina Youth Camp Association.
Playing no favorites, Ben takes advantage of all the outdoor opportunities offered in the mountains. In the off-season from camp, Ben is on ski patrol and works a ski instructor in the Jackson Hole area in Wyoming. He and his wife Elliot, a veterinarian, are avid kayakers, rock climbers, backpackers, and bikers. What would you expect from one of the nation’s best outdoor adventure directors?
In the off-season, Ben and Elliot reside in Victor, Idaho with their rescue dogs.
