Yates made the short trek down the mountain to Greenville, SC, where Jim and Ashley Gettys hosted the Falling Creek Camp Movies and Reunion at their beautiful home. Their two older sons, Riley and Gage, will be returning to FCC as multi-year campers. Their younger brother, John Houston, will be going to Father/Son Weekend with Jim, just like his older brothers did several years ago. What a fun tradition!

Watching the Falling Creek Camp Movie in Greenville on 10-9-12

There was a large group of returning campers that welcomed new families who came to learn more about Falling Creek. In fact, there were several dads that were campers at Falling Creek when they were boys including Jim Gettys, Harrison Finney, Tom Nuckolls, Adam Easterling, Brock Bauknight, and Kirk Morehead. It was fun for them to watch the movie with their sons and re-live their childhood memories of camp with them.

Ice Cream Toppings Bar at the Greenville Movies

The Getty’s served hot dogs for supper and then ice cream with about 10 different toppings to choose from to sprinkle on top. There was even a special cake that had a fire with logs on top, just like the Falling Creek logo. Who wouldn’t like to enjoy such a wonderful setting. Many thanks to the Gettys for their warm hospitality!
