Falling Creek Camp Movies and Reunion hosted by the Tindall Family in Asheville, NC on 11-12-12
Frank and Elizabeth Tindall hosted the Falling Creek Camp Movies and Reunion at their beautiful home in Asheville on Sunday, November 11, 2012. The Pharr and Goodrum families, Nathan, Crom, and Ben came to offer their support.
Steve Longenecker brought the Peregrine Falcon and they greeted everyone out in the front yard as folks arrived.
Of course Lulu (the Tindall’s labrador) was the happiest one there since she could have so many people were there to pet her as she reconnected with her camp friends.
Tisha Mason, pottery and blacksmithing counselor at FCC over the past two summers, took time out of her busy senior year schedule from nearby Warren Wilson College to say hello to everyone.
We were also pleased that Wesley Farnam, Falling Creek Camp counselor the past three summers, and native Ashevillian, came to the event. Wesley, who graduated recently from High Point University, will be starting a new job with AT&T Logistics this week. Congratulations Wesley!
In addition to the new families that came to learn more about FCC, Dr. Ellison Smith, two-time FCC doctor, brought his son Matt, a 5-year FCC camper and world class paddler. The other world class member of the Asheville paddling crew is Joey Brown, and he and his mother, Cindy also came by to say hello. Cindy (not pictured since she is taking the photo) has also served as doctor for a week at FCC and her husband, Joey’s dad, was a staff member at FCC for many years in the 70’s and early 80’s with his brother Bucky. Both David and Bucky are doctors in Asheville as well. Yates and Goody learned to paddle under the Brown’s leadership at FCC.
It was a great time together and we thank the Tindall’s for hosting the big event!
