Frank (and Lulu) at one of the exercise stations stations on the new Falling Creek Camp fitness trail
Along with spiritual, mental, and social growth; physical growth and developing lifelong wellness habits are a big part of Falling Creek’s mission.
The last few years, the H.E.A.T. (High Energy Athletic Training) program has grown and we are excited about plans for this year.
Starting in January, Falling Creek will be offering our year-round employees the opportunity to participate in a nation-wide wellness program combining fitness and diet. We are excited about improving our fitness and serving as good role models for campers and counselors!
We are also building a new fitness trail with multiple exercise stations. The stations are well-balanced, incorporating proper warm up, stretching, strength, and endurance work. Participants will proceed from one station to the next, working upper and lower body as well as core muscles. The trail itself is two parts; a quarter mile loop around the upper lake and a half mile trail around both lakes. It can also be used as a cross-country or mountain biking trail.

We will continue to encourage campers and counselors to develop lifelong habits for good health and wellness. In addition to the many physically active programs we offer, increased opportunities for fitness will be available this summer.
Campers and staff who consistently demonstrate participation in fitness
will be able to earn a special FCC Waypoint Fitness marker for their achievement map. (Waypoints is described in detail in the pre-camp toolbox at www.fallingcreek.com).
We know that many of you are involved with sports during the school year and we look forward to helping you improve your athleticism during the summer
