Yates drove north from NOLA to Jackson, MS where Will and Kim Walker hosted the Falling Creek Camp Movies and Reunion. Yates went to Falling Creek years ago with Will Walker and their son William will be returning to FCC for the 2014 summer. Will’s mom and sister’s were long-time Greystone campers and Kim was on staff there as well.
Before we came together as a group, watched the new movie, and talked about the camp experience, the boys ate some pizza and played football in the back yard.
Brooke Visoski, who was on the FCC staff this past summer, took time out of her busy school schedule to come to tonight’s Reunion. Brooke attends Mississippi College where she is both on the Equestrian team and ROTC. Brook was able to share her skills with the boys this summer serving on the horseback riding staff and has also signed up to return to FCC for the 2014 summer.
Warner Speed, a 5-year camper, came to the event tonight with his dad, Stewart Speed. Warner’s football abilities have pulled him away from camp this coming summer, but he and his dad certainly talked tonight about the fun they had attending the FCC Father/Son Weekend. Hunter and Becky Smith won the award for the longest travel distance, driving a couple of hours from Ruston, LA to bring their 3 boys to learn more about Falling Creek. Their oldest son will be attending camp for his first summer.
