This past Saturday, Mercer University battled and defeated Valparaiso on the gridiron in Macon, GA. This is the first season of Mercer Football since 1942. Goody visited his Alma Mater (Class of 1993) for Game Day, taking his son Thompson to his first football game.
At the game, Falling Creek was well represented. Charlie Cassidy, head “Fish Head” and Maggie Williamson met up with Thompson and Goody at the Game. Charlie is currently living in Macon working for his father’s dental practice and preparing for another great summer at camp. Charlie is excited and planning FCC’s Father Son fly fishing trip, REEL to Montana. Maggie is a senior at Berry College majoring in art education. Maggie is currently finishing her degree student teaching at a local school in Rome, GA.
After the game, Goody met up with Falling Creek Alum and Mercer Football Coach, Will Patterson. Will is from Macon, GA and is the Tight End Coach for the Bears. While leading the Bears to a 5 -1 record, Will is in his last year of receiving his MBA from Mercer’s Stetson School of Business. Will graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN where he played his college football as an offensive lineman. Will attended Main Camp for 6 years and his dad was also the camp doctor.
