Falling Creek Camp Blasts into the Space City

Yates quickly made his way from Coral Gables/Miami in south Florida over to the other side of the Gulf of Mexico to Houston, TX, where Winifred and Carleton Riser hosted the Falling Creek Camp movies and reunion at their beautiful home. Their sons, Robert, Mac, and Carleton were excellent hosts and welcomed the boys as they arrived with their families. They had several games going on in both the front and back yards prior to enjoying eating pizza and chocolate chip cookies.

It was a reunion for several Falling Creek alumni tonight. Carleton Riser, Laffy Herring, Seth Barrett, and Mac McKinnie (who’s son made it, but he was at his other son’s games) all went to Falling Creek with Yates in the 70’s and 80’s. They joined us in the group photo, as well as dads who went the Father/Son Weekend with their son(s).

Yates and several families noticed that the Riser’s have sketched out very neatly and posted the Falling Creek Code on their fridge to serve as a reminder that their family to continue to embrace the values.
