Yates traveled to Columbia, SC where Emily and Jeremy Hodges hosted the Falling Creek Camp Movies and Reunion at their wonderful home. There was a true mix of both returning campers, staff, alumni, and new families who came to learn more about FCC.
Jeremy and Emily Hodges, hosts for tonight’s big event, are on the outside left and right and between them are Donnie and Kim Bain, who served as counselors and Directors of Falling Creek for over 30 years. Donnie is the head of the Middle School at Heathwood Hall and Kim is a teacher in the lower school. The Bain’s helped to build the solid foundation of values and excellence that Falling Creek remains blessed with today.
There were some true veteran Falling Creeker’s who came tonight. (l to r) Iroquois Tribal Leader Harry Titus, 9-year camper Joel Adams, and Cherokee Tribal Leader Andrew Maddox. Harry came from Coastal Carolina University where he is a senior. Joel is in 11th grade now and has applied to be a CIT (Counselor-In-Training) for the upcoming 2016 summer. Andrew Maddox recently graduated from Clemson Univerity and plans to go to grad school to become a physical therapist. 3 amazing people indeed!
Webb and Boyd Hodges help their parents with hosting tonight and they were excited to show off the delicious FCC cookies and special cupcakes the Hodges prepared. The boys will be returning to camp in 2016.
