Yates made his way further west in Texas, to Austin, where Amy and Michael Deane and Jess and Lance Haley hosted the Falling Creek Camp Movies and Reunion. Hudson Haley will be returning to FCC this summer and both Harry and Holland Deane will be coming for their first summer.

Also, Walker Hendry, a counselor at Falling Creek during the summers of 2009, 10, and 11, came by to reconnect. He is currently the Program Coordinator at Explore Austin. Austin native, Philip Craven, who was a camper and CIT in the 1980’s with Yates and Goody, also came by to reconnect.

Cheerwine is a Falling Creek favorite. We serve it on Saturday night with our picnic supper on the ball field. Harry and Holland’s sister, Milly, is an Illahee camper and to show how small a world it is, Milly was in Marisa and my daughter Danielle’s cabin at Camp Illahee this past summer. They love their time at the Heavenly World.
