Muttin’ Racin’ - Each team had to choose 10 older campers who would pull the shovel as well as 5 younger campers to ride the shovel. The teams had to pull the shovel with the rider on it across the arena and into a figure out around two barrels. It was close, but the winner for this race was the Green Team.
Sack Race - Every team member had the opportunity to participate in the sack race. Each team had to get all their members to jump around the center cone, 5 at a time. Every single member had a turn hopping in the burlap sack until the Blue Team was victorious.
Fill’er Up - This was a super fun and interactive game! The older campers piggy backed the younger campers towards the large bucket of water with sponges in it. Each team was allowed to send 3 pairs at a time and the goal was to fill up the smaller buckets of water by the home base. Teammates worked together to ring out the sponges and then back to get more water. It was a very close game, however the Gold Team was the winner in the end.
Izzy Dizzy Bat Spin - It is time to get silly with an Izzy Dizzy Bat Spin! This involves the great technique of getting dizzy by putting your head on the end of a bat, with the other end placed on the ground and spinning. Each team member had to do this 10 times before running back to their team to tag another player. All teammates had to participate in order to complete this challenge, including the counselors. The Red Team was victorious.
Target Practice - How good is your aim? When you are catapulting a water balloon about 75 yards away? That is just what our boys were testing today in our target practice game. We had 3 teammates ready to catapult the water balloons and 12 team members holding the target in the center of the ring. Unfortunately, the Green and Blue Team were unsuccessful at hitting the target. With the Gold and Red Team each scoring once out of five.
4 way Tug-o-war - Now it is time to test our strength, with the four way tug of war! Each team had their color rope and each line, Sorrel, Tsuga, Robinia and Betula had a chance to play tug of war against each other. In the Sorrel line, the Gold Team was the winner. In the Tsuga, Robinia and Betula lines, it was the Green team that came out victorious.
The Wild Wild West is a competitive game that involves each team member having a flag belt. Each color could only pull one other color’s belt.
There were also hidden treasures all over camp that earned each team points. The goal of the game is to pull as many belts as possible as well as to find as many treasures as you can, scoring as many points for your team as possible. The Gold Team was victorious and won the Wild Wild West Game.
