Ivy “Sunny” Durocher

  • My name is Ivy Durocher
  • I’m known as Sunny
  • I’m from Macomb, Michigan
  • This is my 2nd year on staff at Falling Creek (’24-’25)
  • I’ll be Assistant Program Director
  • For the portion of my year that doesn’t involve camp work, I am a full-time nanny—a bit of a savant in the art of first words, potty training, and car seat installation. I’m also an undefeated nap-time champion for the sixth year running.
  • Night owl or early bird? I am, most definitely, an early bird.
  • If I could be friends with any character from a book or movie, I would choose the red Teletubby… I think we’d have a lot in common.
  • When I was younger, I REALLY wanted to be a coroner. At one point I had even memorized the name and location of every single bone in the human body. I also interviewed our Wayne County forensic pathology staff and got a full tour of the morgue with our county coroner, so… I was truly committed to the craft. Now, I still want to do that… but only as my side hustle.
  • A food I would be happy eating every day is rainbow sprinkles—the world’s greatest culinary masterpiece.
  • A fictional place I would like to visit is Ohio… pretty sure it’s fake.
  • What would a successful summer look like for me? Getting signed for my work in the Lost & Found fashion show. Oh! And only losing my backpack 2-3 times a day.
