Eleanor Donohue

Assistant Program & Staff Director

Eleanor grew up in Nairobi, Kenya with her parents and two younger brothers. Her hobbies include swimming, running, playing music, throwing the frisbee, drinking coffee, and painting. One of the things that drew Eleanor to camp was the chance to be closer to her brothers (both FCC campers!) after she moved to the US for college, since all of her family was still in Kenya. She was also drawn to the community that she knew camp fostered, which she would hear about from her brothers year-round.

After many years as a camper herself at Camp Ton-A-Wandah, Eleanor spent three years at Falling Creek teaching swimming, ultimate frisbee, and leading the Samara Line during her summers between studying at Wofford College. Eleanor will graduate in May 2026, with a degree in international affairs and French.

Eleanor brings her skills to a number of things at camp in her position as an Assistant Program and Staff Director. She helps with the staff experience in summer, and recruitment and planning in the non summer months. She manages programming for staff, including session break plans, assisting international staff through the hiring and arrival process, acts as the Samara Line Advisor, and as the Waterfront Activity Advisor.
