Whit Flickinger

Assistant Program & Staff Director

Whit is involved in many aspects of camp, but with a specific focus on the camper experience and camper development. He uses his skills to be the music and theater programs activity advisor during the summer, and takes the lead planning Campfire. He also works with Betula Line Heads as the Line Advisor for the oldest campers.

Whit is from Dallas, Texas and will graduate from Texas State University in May with a degree in Music Education. He currently teaches music in his student-teaching position at a Texas elementary school.

Whit has been part of the Falling Creek community for most of his life, having first been a camper for 8 years (‘12-‘19) before returning to serve as a counselor for 3 summers (’23-‘25). In addition to teaching climbing wall, Whit was the Robinia Line Head, leading the boys and counselors in camp’s second oldest Cabin Line.

In 2025, Whit was a recipient of the annual Green and Gold Award, given annually to the staff member who best exemplifies The Falling Creek Code, and who is known for carrying the Falling Creek spirit of unselfishness in their heart. We’re thrilled to have Whit’s empathy, dependability, humor, and passion for camp back at Falling Creek in this new role.
