The 2025 Movie Shows & Camp Reunions kicked off in Raleigh, NC on Tuesday, October 7th.

Raleigh, North Carolina

Gardner & Duncan Gibson hosted the big event at their beautiful Raleigh home!

As the boys arrived, they enjoyed eating pizza, playing in the backyard, and watching a slideshow of photos and short videos from the 2025 summer. It was a great opportunity for families interested in learning more about camp to connect with current camp families. Yates also enjoyed reconnecting with many FCC families.

Andrew T (’21-’26), Paul M (’15-’23, ’25), James A (’16-’26), and Max A (’14-’25)

In addition to meeting new families, it was great to see so many returning campers from the Raleigh area! In the center photo below are brothers Jack C (’17-’26) and James C (’18-’26).

Pictured on the left photo are camp friends Andrew T (’21-’26), Paul M (’15-’23, ’25), James A (’16-’26), and Max A (’14-’25).

A big thank you to Charlie G who was super helpful with Yates setting up and breaking down the event. Thank you Gibson family!

Hayden Vick (staff ’16-’17), Quincy (camper ‘24-’26) and host Ben Cooper.

Richmond, Virginia

The week continues with Yates’ travels up to Richmond, VA. Thank you Massie and Ben Cooper for sharing your beautiful home with all of us so we can celebrate camp!

In the photo on the left, it was great to see Hayden Vick (staff ’16-’17), who is a teacher and coach at nearby St. Christopher’s School. Hayden is with Quincy (camper ‘24-’26) and host Ben Cooper.

Spencer (camper ‘19, ‘21, ‘23-’26) and Wade Blackwood (staff ‘95).

Yates got to catch up with Spencer (camper ‘19, ‘21, ‘23-’26) and Wade Blackwood (staff ‘95).

With great weather, the boys enjoyed playing on a giant tree swing in the Coopers’ front yard before starting the movie show.

Patrick Greenwood (staff ’13, ’16, ’21-’23) and Parker S. (Camper ’17-’19, ’21-’26)

Alexandria, Virginia

The final stop for this week was Alexandria, VA where Ashlee & Jeff Morehouse again hosted us in their beautiful home!

In the photo on the right, Patrick Greenwood (staff ’13, ’16, ’21-’23) and Parker S. (Camper ’17-’19, ’21-’26) enjoyed reconnecting. Pat is a teacher and lacrosse coach in the area and Parker is returning for the 2026 summer to be part of the FLINT group during the Main session.

A huge thank you to the Morehouse family for hosting this event tonight and a big shout out to the Miller & Heaton families for their continued support of Falling Creek.

Both Megan Miller and Kendall Heaton are Camp Illahee alumnae, and their enthusiasm for camp is contagious.

The Spence family has served as the Alexandria area ambassadors for Falling Creek in the past. Jane went to Camp Greystone and loves what these camp communities do for the boys and girls who participate. We’re fortunate to have both of the Spence boys as Falling Creek campers.

Next week's open house travel schedule!

Thank you to everyone who joined us this week!

Next week, Yates is heading to Lexington, KY and Winston-Salem, NC.
