Krystal provided these very nice touches: custom camp cookies and snacks!

Houston, TX

Yates traveled to Texas to kick off the third week of Falling Creek Camp Movies & Reunions. We send a big thank you to Krystal & Garrett Thompson for hosting the Houston event in their beautiful home. Yates appreciated the veteran campers support in answering questions from those families new to FCC.

It was excellent weather and the boys enjoyed playing soccer and corn hole in the back yard while families were arriving.

Harry M (camper ‘26), Tyson V (camper ’24-‘26), and Henry V (camper ’24-‘26)

Left, Harry M (camper ‘26), Tyson V (camper ’24-‘26), and Henry V (camper ’24-‘26) are coming to camp in 2026! They’ll be joined by Owen O (camper ’23-‘26) and Nolan C (’17-’19, ’21-‘26), pictured below center.

Pictured below left, Ashley Alexander and her son (camper ’25-’26) were excited to reconnect with the FCC community. Ashley loved her camp experiences as a camper and counselor at nearby Camp Illahee in Brevard, NC.

Liam K (camper ’19, ’21-‘26) and Mark Van Kirk (camper ’13-‘17, staff ’21-‘22)

Dallas, TX

The next day, Yates traveled to Dallas, TX where Alex and John Klitsch hosted the FCC Movies and Reunion at their beautiful home. It was a perfect evening for families new to Falling Creek to meet veteran families and learn more about camp.

On the right, Yates is with Liam K (camper ’19, ’21-‘26) and Mark Van Kirk (camper ’13-‘17, staff ’21-‘22), who returned recently to his home town in Dallas where he is working with CVS as an IT specialist.

Left, Yates & Rick Broad (Staff ’85-‘94) were camp counselors together with Emily Broad (staff ’89-’94) and Marisa (staff ’89). The Broads’ sons, Charles (camper ’08-‘15), Bennett (camper ’08-‘16, staff ’23-‘24), and Lance (camper ’13-’19) have carried on the FCC tradition.

Below, the boys were very excited to have the opportunity to meet Barbara Watson, who is counselor Whit Flickinger’s (camper ’12-’19, staff ’23-’25) mom (pictured upper right). The famous counselor duo Whit and Beans were recently awarded the “Green & Gold” award after last summer. Rick Broad is on the right of Barabara and he is Whit’s Uncle.

Beautiful custom cookies that Avery provided.

Bronxville, NY

To wrap up the week, Avery and Miles McEnery hosted the Falling Creek Camp movies & Reunion at their beautiful home in Bronxville, NY. Miles was a camper himself in the 80’s, and we’re thrilled that both McEnery sons will be returning to camp in 2026.

Avery provided some very nice FCC Code shield napkins, and delicious custom Falling Creek cookies.

Yates with Matthew Leonard (camper ‘16-‘20, staff ‘22) and Whit Nuckolls (camper ‘10-‘15, ‘18-‘20, staff ‘22)

Left, Matthew Leonard (camper ‘16-‘20, staff ‘22) and Whit Nuckolls (camper ‘10-‘15, ‘18-‘20, staff ‘22) took time out of their busy schedules to reconnect with the camp community.

Both are now living in NYC, where Matthew is working in banking and Whit is working in PR.

Yates with Marshall L. (camper ‘17-‘19, ‘21-‘26)

Right, Yates is telling folks how Marshall L. (camper ‘17-‘19, ‘21-‘26) keeps growing!

All the boys received the new 2026 Trunk Sticker, but don’t worry, we will send every camper coming to camp for the 2026 summer their own new trunk sticker as a part of the big Christmas mailing in December!

A huge thanks again to the McEnery Family for hosting a fun evening, and thank you to everyone who joined us during the Camp Reunions and Movie Shows this month!
