The wait is finally over, and the mountain is filled with excitement as we kick off our Two-Week Camp session! We’re thrilled to welcome a brand new group of campers to Falling Creek. Whether it's their first year or they’ve been coming back for summers on end, everyone is ready to dive into the fun and make memories that will last a lifetime.
As parents said their goodbyes, we saw new friendships forming in no time. First-time campers met their counselors with big smiles, while returning campers quickly reunited with their old friends. It’s the perfect blend of familiar faces and fresh starts.
To get things rolling, we kicked off the day with a fun-filled afternoon activity that had the boys laughing and working together right away. The campers jumped into a team-based challenge, helping each other solve clues and complete tasks, setting the perfect tone for the adventures ahead.
Later, the boys eagerly signed up for their favorite outdoor adventures. From mountain biking to archery, horseback riding, and more, the excitement was palpable as the boys couldn’t wait to get started on these thrilling activities. Whether they were ready to ride the trails or perfect their aim, the sign-ups sparked excitement for the adventures to come!
Next up was the swim test—an essential part of the camp experience! The boys dove into the lake with energy and excitement, eager to show off their swimming skills and get ready for all the water-based activities. It was a great moment of fun and confidence as everyone passed their test and looked forward to the upcoming swimming, canoeing, and lake adventures.
After the swim test, our friendly staff made sure every camper went through the quick lice check. The boys then gathered for their cabin photos, striking poses both serious and silly, capturing the spirit of their new camp family. It's always a fun moment, and it was a great way to celebrate the start of the session.
As evening fell, it was time for the first Evening Program (EP), where the campers split into their lines for some fun and friendly competition. The boys worked together to tackle different team challenges that emphasized teamwork, communication, and camp spirit. It was the perfect way to end the day—building camaraderie and getting everyone energized for the adventures to come.
Before bed, the campers came together for Evening Embers, a chance to reflect on the day and share their thoughts with cabin mates. It’s a moment for gratitude, setting personal goals, and preparing for another day of fun and friendship.
Today marks the first full day of scheduled activities! From swimming to arts and crafts, archery to mountain biking, there’s something for everyone. The campers will dive into their activities, explore new skills, and build lasting friendships along the way.
Don’t forget to check out the daily photos and blog posts, where we’ll share glimpses of camp life and highlight some of the boys’ favorite moments from the day.
You can expect the blog to post daily around 9:30 to 11am and photos to post in your Campminder account around lunchtime.
