See You Soon, 2-Week Campers!

As quickly as it started, it's already over! 2-Week campers, we can't wait until you are back again!

Pick-Up Day Has Arrived

Parents, if you're reading this, you're likely making your way up the mountain or already parked in the gravel lot. The boys might be quiet on the drive home—sun-tired, trail-dusty, and full of stories they haven't quite sorted out yet. Here's a glimpse of what the last full day looked like to help fill in the blanks.

A Final Morning of Camp

We kicked off Thursday like any other morning at Falling Creek, gathering for Morning Watch, sharing a quiet moment together, and heading into breakfast. Morning Assembly was loud and lively, filled with songs, skits, and final reminders for the day ahead.

The boys headed out for their last three morning activities. Whether they were belaying one more climb, finishing a pottery project, or nailing a final bullseye at archery, everyone got a chance to close things out well.

After lunch, we gave them extended time for rest hour and packing. Trunks were filled, shelves were cleared, and missing socks were located—mostly.

Lost and Found: Superhero Edition

In true camp fashion, we held the "Lost and Found Fashion Show" at lunch. Counselors piled on everything left behind, shirts, towels, hats, water bottles and strutted through the Dining Hall like it was a Paris runway; Falling Creek edition. There were cheers, lots of laughter, and a surprising number of items reunited with their rightful owners.

Superhero Day + Domination

Thursday was Superhero Day, and the boys went all out—capes, costumes, and team spirit on full display. In the afternoon, they played a giant camp-wide game called Domination: Heroes Assemble where teams ran all over camp trying to control zones and return flag belts. It was high-energy, fast-paced, and a total blast. In the end, Gold pulled out the win and the celebration was loud and proud.

One Last Campfire

We closed out the night with our final Campfire. Chaplain Matt Sloan shared a message about this week’s theme—honesty—and what it means to honestly consider your own worth. Each camper has inestimable value. But the same is true for the person sitting next to them. Over these two weeks, the boys have learned to listen to one another, to see one another clearly, and to understand the worth of those around them. They’ve learned how to treat others—and themselves—with value. That’s something they can carry home.

We ended with “Will the Circle Be Unbroken,” followed by the first verse of Taps. Then we walked back to the cabins, slower than usual, with a mix of smiles and misty eyes.

Evening Embers and Goodbye for Now

In their cabins, boys circled up for one final Evening Embers. It was a quiet chance to say goodbye, share memories, and talk about what made these two weeks special.

We are incredibly grateful for the individual spark each boy brought to this session. Thank you for sharing them with us.

We can’t wait to welcome them back through the gates next summer.
