The 2026 Movie Shows & Camp Reunions kicked off in Raleigh, NC on Monday, October 5th.
Thank you to Gardner and Duncan Gibson for hosting at their beautiful home in Raleigh. Their sons Charlie and Yates Gibson were a big help in getting everything set up!
As the boys arrived, they enjoyed eating pizza, playing in the backyard, and watching a slideshow of photos and short videos from the 2026 summer. It was a great opportunity for families interested in learning more about camp to connect with current camp families. Yates also enjoyed reconnecting with many FCC families.

We were able to reconnect with several Falling Creek campers and alumni!
Pictured left are Ransom Albertson (‘15-‘24 camper, ‘26 staff), who is a freshman at Duke University, and Luke Morris, who is a sophomore at NCSU. Luke is from Hendersonville and served on staff at a Father/Son Weekend this past year.
Pictured below:
Jack (‘18-‘27 camper), Kara Cardinale, and James (‘20-‘27 camper). Kara is on the Pass the Light Fund committee, which provides camp scholarships to deserving boys who otherwise couldn’t afford the Falling Creek experience.
Henry (‘26-‘27 camper) and John Cathcart. John and his brother Scott were campers and counselors at FCC in the 80s and 90s.
Eli (‘24-‘27 camper) and Joe Baden, Andrew (‘21-‘27 camper) and Chris Todd.
The next stop was up in Richmond, VA. Thank you Massie & Ben Cooper, for hosting everyone in the Richmond area at your beautiful home!
This group photo includes all the boys as well as dads who have come to Father/Son Weekend.
Frank Hargrove (03-’06 camper, ’12 staff) and his wife Lindsay came to introduce young Frank, who will be ready for camp in several years.
We had a great time in Richmond reconnecting with camp friends and meeting new ones.
Thank you again, Richmond!
The week continued with Yates’ travels to Vienna, VA. Thank you, Julie & Mike Holmes for hosting at your beautiful home.
It was so fun to reconnect with some alumni, including John Holmes, Mike’s brother. Mike and John were campers together from ’86-‘89, and now Mike’s son Bradley is a camper himself (’22-’27).
JR Wallace (camper ’12, ’15-’19, STEEL ’20, staff ’22-’24) has been enjoying the opportunity to work for Ernst & Young accounting in the DC area, and we appreciated him coming to reconnect with FCC families.
In the center photo below, Bradley is enjoying a dish of Falling Creek’s famous “Frito Pie”!
The final stop for this week was Alexandria, VA where Ashlee & Jeff Morehouse again hosted us in their beautiful home!
Pictured is Yates, Hayes Orr (camper ’13-’15, DASH counselor ’22), Parker Spence (camper ’17-’19, ’21-’26, ’27 STEEL), Jane Spence
Pictured is Mace Hood (camper ’12-’18, DASH counselor ’22, staff ’23) ) and Winn C. (camper ’18-’19, ’21-’25)
Thank you to all of the families who took time out of their busy schedules to attend. It was a good mix of returning families and those who are new to Falling Creek.
Next week, Yates will be in Louisiana, Florida, and Colorado!
