Week 2 of 2026 Camp Reunions: 3 Days and 3 States
Camp community across the country!
This past week was the second of this year’s Camp Reunion and Movie Show travel schedule. This time, Yates traveled to three different states to catch up with camp families in Louisiana, Florida, and Colorado.

New Orleans, LA
On Tuesday, October 13th, Yates traveled to New Orleans where Meredith & Cole Claibourne hosted the Falling Creek Camp Movies & Reunion in their beautiful home. Their son Brooks is returning to camp. He’s a second generation camper, as his dad Cole was a main camper in 1995.
In the photos below, Larry Johnson (camper ’08-’15, STEEL ’18) is pictured with his mother Maria Johnson. Maria and Noel Johnson (who was a camper himself in ‘82) used to host the NOLA movies.
Jon Atkinson (staff ’03, ’06) and Allison Atkinson came to reconnect, and their son is interested in coming to Falling Creek.
Thomas Peters (camper ’86-’92) was in Yates’ cabin in 1986 and he and his son are looking to come to a Father/Son Weekend.
Sam M. (camper ’21-’27) and Will Marsiglia (camper ’19, ’21-’25). We’re excited that Will applied to serve as a counselor in 2027!

Palm Beach, FL
On Wednesday, October 14th, Yates headed over to Florida where Jennifer & Chris Lazzara hosted in their beautiful Palm Beach home. We’re excited that their son Caleb is returning to camp in 2027 too!
The boys enjoyed eating pizza and playing soccer while families were arriving. Below, Chris shared with the families how Falling Creek has positively impacted he and Jennifer’s three sons.
Yates is pictured with camp legend Tim Skelly (camper ’76-’83, staff ’88-’89, ’92) whose son Tommy (camper ’06-’11, HUCK ’12) also attended FCC.

Denver, CO
On Thursday, October 15th, Catharine & Mike Whipple hosted our very first camp movie show and reunion in Denver, Colorado!. This coming summer, both their sons Trip and Johno will be at Falling Creek.
Yates with Henry Ray (camper ’23 – ’26, STEEL ’27), who is returning this coming summer to participate in the STEEL program.

Yates with Paul Raymond (camper ’05 – ’10, CIT ‘11) and Jeremy Gillespie (staff ’97, seasonal director ’24 – ‘27). Paul is an attorney in Buena Vista, CO. Jeremy’s son Max is returning this coming summer, and Jeremy will again serve as a seasonal director.
