Week 3 of 2026 Camp Reunions: Texas and NY!
The Tour Continues!
This was the 3rd week of the 2026 Camp Reunion and Movie Show travel schedule.
Yates traveled out west to visit 3 cities in Texas, and then back to the East Coast to visit New York.

Houston, TX
On Monday, October 19th, Tay & Philip Carey hosted at their beautiful home in Houston. We’re thrilled to have their son Stuart returning in 2027.
Yates is pictured with Nolan C. will be returning for his 10th summer. Below, Yates is with alumnus Seth Barrett (camper ’85-’89, ’91), whose son is also a camper.
Austin, TX
On Tuesday, October 20th, thank you to Genny & Chris Hill for hosting at their beautiful Austin home. We’re so glad that their son James will be returning for his 4th summer. In this photo, Yates is with the Schneider family. Yates was Kevin Schneider’s counselor in Cabin 4 during the June session in 1987! Andrea Schneider will return to serve as a nurse at FCC for her 4th summer in 2027.
Mac S. (Camper ’22-‘25) explained to the families the details of the activity progression system at FCC, and what he had to do to earn his Warrior in Backpacking (the highest level).
In the below photo, alumnus Michael Graham (camper ’97-‘00), introduced his son to the camp community.
Dallas, TX
On Wednesday, October 21st, Alex & John Klitsch hosted at their beautiful home in Dallas. We’re excited to have their son Peter returning for his 5th summer!
We were glad to reconnect with alumni, including Rick Broad (staff and assistant director ’85-’94), Lucas (camper ’88-’93), and Bennett Broad (camper ’08-’16, staff ’23).
Journeyman Andrew K. (Camper ’22-’27) was there with his dad Chris, and we’re thrilled that Andrew will be returning as a Man of S.T.E.E.L. in 2027.

In the center photo, Yates also got to catch up with Barbara Watson, who is Asst. Program Director Whit Flickinger’s mother!
Operations Director, Nathan Newquist, grew up in Texas and was also in attendance at the Dallas reunion!
Bronxville, NY
The final stop for the week was in Bronxville, where Avery & Miles McEnery hosted at their beautiful home. Avery worked with Asst. Communications Director, Carol Jones, to have 2 photos of each of the boys coming last night on a slideshow playing near the sign-in (the boys loved this)!
We are so glad to have their sons, Jack & Will, returning to camp for their 6th & 5th summers.
Alumnus John Edmunds (camper ’83-’88) shares the camp experience with his son Julian (camper ’25-’27), who we’re excited to have back this coming summer!
