My name is Almudena Mones Llaca
I’m known as Almu
I’m from Puebla, Mexico
I am currently teaching English at a school to children between the ages of 2 and 5.
This is my 2nd year on staff at Falling Creek (’26-’27)
I’m teaching horseback riding
My favorite camp tradition is definitely Sunday night campfires. There’s something so special about everyone sitting around the fire, singing songs, sharing stories, and ending the week together. Those nights always made me feel so connected to everyone at camp.
I’m happiest when I’m outdoors, surrounded by people I love, and doing something active. Whether I’m riding horses, swimming, hiking, teaching kids, or just laughing with my friends, I feel most like myself when I’m surrounded by people and nature.
What makes me excited about this summer? Coming back to Falling Creek! I’m excited to see everyone again, be back at the barn, meet new campers, and create new memories. Last summer truly felt like a second home to me, so getting the chance to come back feels really special.
