Jamie Maloy

My name is James Maloy
I’m known as Jamie
I’m from Tallahassee, Florida and I currently live in Jacksonville, Florida for school.
I go to the University of North Florida where I am studying Kinesiology in the hopes of becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy after graduate school.
I was a camper for 2 summers (’18-’19)
This is my 3rd year on staff at Falling Creek (’25-’27)
I’m teaching sailing
My absolute favorite camp tradition has got to be closing campfire. Camp is a place to have fun and try new things, but also a place where brothers and lifelong friends are made. Closing Campfire really emphasizes the importance of our time together and gives us an opportunity to reflect on what we’ve done and the connections we’ve made at Falling Creek.
I think I am happiest when I am doing anything outside with other people, especially playing soccer and sailing. It offers a way for me to decompress and enjoy the time I spend with others while also enjoying nature and being outside!
I am so excited to come back for my 5th summer at Falling Creek and my 3rd summer on staff! I really look forward to welcoming new staff and campers alike and helping them learn FCC culture, as well as seeing friends from previous summers and being able to share that culture with them too.
