Jordain Ferguson

My name is Jordain Ferguson
I’m from the beautiful parish called Manchester, located in Jamaica.
I am currently a volunteer teacher at Plowden Primary and Infant School. My role specifically includes the supervision of students and their well-being. Also, I aid form teachers in the development of lesson plans.
This is my first year on staff at Falling Creek
I’m teaching F.A.R.M.
If I could be friends with any character from a book or movie, I think that it would be really awesome to be friends with Peter Parker. He’s smart and he’s purely kind. He always tries to do what’s right, even when it’s hard. He’s also funny and he doesn’t take himself too seriously, so I feel like we would have a lot in common. Being friends with Spider-Man will be really spontaneous too.
When I was young, I wanted to be a doctor because I liked the idea of helping people get better. As I got older, that interest waned and I became more interested in creative things like writing and designing, also educating people. So yes, it is very different from what I wanted to do when I was a child.
For me, a successful summer would be to grow in a personal way and professionally. That could be working a job, such as at Falling Creek Camp, that helps develop new skills, help people, and still have time to relax, travel a little, and enjoy life. If I could balance both productivity and enjoyment, I would feel very accomplished during this summer.
