My name is Luke
I’m from South Africa
Since the end of camp 26’ I have been solo travelling Latin America. During this time I have also been trying to learn as much Spanish as possible. I plan on returning home to the UK for the end of the year where I will be doing a rope access course. I hope to then use that qualification to do more specialised work at heights in the near future.
This is my 2nd year on staff at Falling Creek (’26-’27)
I’m teaching climbing wall and soccer
My favourite camp tradition is camp fire. I love how special it feels each week with new skits, songs and themes. I think it’s an incredible way for the boys to feel a real sense of community at camp.
If I could be any animal I would choose to be a gibbon monkey. They are one of my favourite animals in the world! With their long arms they swing through the trees all day. I can’t think of a better life.
I’m happiest travelling. I believe it’s an incredible way to gain perspective on the world and learn about new cultures and to better understand what things truly make you happy.
The accomplishment I’m most proud of is solo travelling the world at 20
I’m very excited to transition into a more involved member of the camp community by being part of the in camp staff this summer
