Sebastian Ordoñez

  • My name is Sebastian
  • I’m known as Sebas
  • I’m from Columbia
  • I’m studying at University Colegio Mayor del Cauca, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and English.
  • This is my 2nd year on staff at Falling Creek (’26-’27)
  • I’m teaching soccer and climbing wall
  • My favorites traditions at camp are Campfire and the Ice cream Sundays! Soccer tournamets too!
  • If I could be any animal, what animal would I be? I love cats, meerkats and eagles, it’s difficult to chose one I can’t!
  • My childhood hero was Thomas Müller, He won everything with Bayern München and Germany and the most important thing without marketing as anothers soccer players. let’s start with: 2012-2013 and 2019-2020 seasons’s Champions leagues. 2014 Brasil World Cup. 13 Bundesligas. And a lot of Soccer tournaments that I don’t remember! :v
  • What habit or skill do I want to improve this summer? I want to improve my English speaking skills this is something important for me, I would say my main goal! I’m studying in order to be a teacher, so improve my teaching skills at Summer camp is the best.
  • If I could snap your fingers and teleport anywhere & any time period, where & when would I visit? Madrid City, I wanna go to Metropolitano Stadium Atletico de Madrid home in Europe that’s one dream that I wanna make real, then I would snap my fingers again, and I would teleport to Alianzza Arena when Bayer München defeated Real Madrid. I got a lot ideas in my mind hahaha
  • I’m happiest playing Soccer for hours with all my friends, and eating something after the match and talking about it. Something different that I love to do, is driving a motorcycle and visiting new places while I see the sunset, I really feel happy doing that!
  • One of the accomplishments I am most proud of is having the opportunity to travel to the United States, experiencing its incredible culture, and meeting people from different backgrounds. Working as a counselor at Falling Creek Camp allowed me to improve my English, become more independent, and create unforgettable memories. I am proud of stepping out of my comfort zone, discovering a new country, and learning so much from this experience. It made me realize how much I enjoy traveling, learning about other cultures, and challenging myself to grow as a person.
  • What excites me most about this summer is getting to know my campers, building good relationships with them, and creating unforgettable memories together. I am also excited to connect with my coworkers, learn from them, and work as a team to make this summer a great experience for everyone in Fallin Creek Camp. One thing I am especially looking forward to is cooking for my campers during the overnight trips, it’s amazing!
